Key Topics for Safe Dates - Middle School Presentation

Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships

Healthy relationships are connections where people treat each other with respect, kindness, trust, and open communication.
Unhealthy relationships are connections where one or both people show disrespect, control, dishonesty, or harmful behavior.

Abuse Prevention

Abuse prevention is learning skills and rules that help protect you from harmful behavior by others. It includes recognizing unsafe situations and knowing how to get help.

Consent and Boundaries

Consent is a clear, voluntary agreement to participate in something, given without pressure or fear.
Boundaries are personal limits that define what someone is comfortable with and how they expect to be treated.

Peer Pressure and Bullying

Peer pressure is the influence from people your age to behave or make choices in a certain way, sometimes against your own comfort or values.
Bullying is repeated, intentional behavior meant to hurt, intimidate, or control someone.

Internet Safety and Digital Responsibility

Internet safety is the practice of protecting your personal information, privacy, and well‑being while using online platforms.
Digital responsibility is using technology in respectful, ethical, and thoughtful ways, including how you communicate and share information online.
